The State Department's Information Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, the Administration for Industry and Commerce, the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, and the State Administration of Press Publication convened a video conference on the morning of January 5th to deploy a special campaign to clean up internet vulgarity nationwide. The Deputy Director of the State Department's Information Office, Cai Mingzhao presided over the conference and emphasized in his speech that effective measures must be taken to staunchly curb the spread of online vulgarity, further purify the online culture environment, protect the healthy growth of minors, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the Internet.
This time, the seven departments named well-known websites including Baidu, Google, and Tianxian Haqing through CCTV. CCTV reported that after receiving notification from the seven departments, Baidu, Google and others did not promptly take corresponding actions........... CCTV is at it again!
