Introduction to the plot of New Shanghai Bund: The story is set in 1930s Shanghai, an era fraught with internal strife and external threats, filled with commercial guilds and rising patriotic nationalism. Xu Wenqiang, a newcomer to the city, accidentally saves Feng Chengcheng, the beloved daughter of Feng Jingyao, the top businessman in Shanghai. Xu Wenqiang also forms a life-and-death friendship with Ding Li, who grew up in the Hongkou slums.
