Thunder, lightning, strong winds, heavy rain.
A bolt of lightning strikes through the temple roof, hitting a mural inside the Lano Temple, following which the mural appears to undergo a strange transformation. Not long after, a monk passes by, seemingly noticing something, glances at the mural on the wall, and then at night, screams are heard from the monk. Other monks rush out upon hearing the cries, followed by a cacophony of screams, which suddenly stop, leaving an eerie silence around.
The next day, all the monks in the temple have mysteriously disappeared. The authorities come to investigate, finding that all the objects used by the monks remain untouched, with boiling water still in the kitchen, not a drop of blood in the temple, and no signs of any bandits having been there. As they were enjoying their tour, a sudden storm arose. Seeking shelter, they stumbled upon a desolate temple named "Lano." Seeing the downpour showing no signs of stopping, Meng Longtan wanted to enter the temple for temporary refuge, but was stopped by Zhu Xiaolian. Meng Longtan was puzzled, and Zhu Xiaolian explained that this was a cursed temple where all the monks had vanished overnight several years ago, their whereabouts still unknown, as if they had evaporated into thin air. The investigators sent by the authorities never returned, leading to rumors in the area that monsters had come to the temple, eating both the monks and the investigators. From that day on, no one dared to come near the temple, leaving it desolate until now.
Upon hearing this, Meng Longtan merely laughed it off, saying that since he had done nothing wrong, he would not be startled even if someone knocked on his door at midnight. With that, he walked into the temple. Zhu Xiaolian, having no choice, reluctantly followed him...
