Introduction to Shi Gong Qian An 2:
A year ago, Shi Shilun's (played by Alan Tam) two wives, Lisa and Xiangrong, along with his children, perished in a shipwreck, which drastically altered his worldview. He decided to lead a leisurely life, traveling with his mother Zhao Yue'e (played by Lee Fung), his first wife Pang Ge'ai (played by Yvonne Lau), and his second wife Jia Xiuyu (played by Winnie Yiu) to the county of Xianyou for sightseeing. There, he unexpectedly met a new "Pillow Immortal" (played by Jason Li) and found two more wives in his life, Wu Junrou (played by Gigi Lai) and Lu Xiaodie (played by Michelle Tang).
Shi Gong and Junrou: Open Struggles and Competitions
Junrou is a well-known medium in the town. However, she only pretends to be one to deceive people for money to save her brother, Wu Junyu (played by Tseng Shouming), who was sentenced to death for murder. When Shi Shilun arrived, he mistakenly believed that Junrou was a suspect in a mysterious swordfish murder case, almost causing her to be executed. Junrou then used Shilun's feelings of guilt and pity towards her, combined with Yue'e's eagerness to find Shilun a new wife to continue their family line, to devise a plan to marry into the Shi family, hoping to use Shilun to overturn her brother's wrongful conviction.
Unexpectedly, on the wedding day, Junrou discovered that Shilun was actually the original instigator behind her brother's death sentence as he had acted as a substitute judge at the time! Her husband turned into an enemy, so Junrou decided to become a "mole wife" to seek revenge on Shilun, aiming to make him lose his official position and cause turmoil within the Shi family. Gradually, Shilun realized that all the troubles were caused by Junrou, eventually finding out that she married into the Shi family to seek revenge. However, Shilun insisted that he did not wrongly judge the case, and under Yue'e's arrangements, he also married another wife, Xiaodie. Thus, Shilun and Junrou became adversaries, engaging in open disputes and competitions.
Xiaodie and Yingjun: Not Enemies Without Meeting First
Xiaodie's real name is Ding Meiren, the daughter of General Ding Renchuan (played by Law Lok Lun). She was betrothed through an arranged marriage to the eighth prince Su Wan Gual Jin Chun (played by Chris Chan), but after Jin Chun fled from the marriage, Xiaodie felt deeply humiliated and vowed to thoroughly avenge herself. When Xiaodie came to Xianyou Town, she entrusted Junrou to investigate Jin Chun's whereabouts, discovering that Jin Chun had changed his name to Su Yingjun and become a constable under Shilun. Consequently, Xiaodie concealed her own identity and became Shilun's assistant, initiating a series of revenge actions.
As Xiaodie passionately pursued Yingjun and made him fall in love with her, coincidentally, Junrou's relationship with Shilun and his family deteriorated severely. Yue'e, concerned about her son's need to continue the family line, sought another suitable wife for him. Xiaodie agreed to marry, but upon becoming Shilun's wife, she realized that she genuinely liked Yingjun and didn't know how to proceed. Meanwhile, Yingjun learned that everything was part of Xiaodie's grand revenge plan, leaving him deeply hurt and tragically exploited by criminals.
