Plot Introduction of Tokyo DOGS: Sou Takakura is a New York City police officer who is very calm and strict in his work, not at all lenient. Due to witnessing his father, a police officer, being killed in front of him as a child, he vowed to follow in his father's footsteps and catch the real culprit. Maruo Kudo is a detective from the Special Investigation Division of the Japanese Police Department. He was once part of a biker gang, so he knows many yakuza figures. Skilled in martial arts, his hobby is socializing and dating women, though he is flirtatious, he is quite competent in solving cases. Two completely different personalities became partners during a joint operation between Japanese and American police forces targeting a transnational drug trafficking case. While pursuing criminals, they "found" a mysterious girl who seems to have a significant connection to the entire case but has lost her memory due to trauma. To protect her and help her regain her memory, Takakura and Kudo begin round-the-clock supervision of her. As their investigation into this case deepens, a series of incredible cases continue to occur.
