The story of the destruction of a bad police officer who indulges in drugs, gambling, and debauchery, leading an extremely corrupt and immoral life without any sense of morality or responsibility. His life seems to bear all the sins of this society...
In recent years, Herzog has been making documentaries one after another, which are amazing. During this period, he also remade one of his own films, resulting in "Rescue Dawn". Now he is remaking the independently made film "Bad Lieutenant" from back in the day, and he even got into a verbal spat with Ferrara, which is really surprising. Fortunately, Herzog's standards have not shown any signs of decline in recent years, and he is more reliable than some of his German New Cinema contemporaries. The currently available clips of the film also leave a completely different impression.
