Sam, a young bank clerk, moves into a beautiful apartment with his fiancée Molly, which was exchanged with the help of their friend Carl. Sam and Molly love each other deeply and are preparing for their upcoming wedding. One evening, after returning from watching a play, they are robbed by thugs. During the struggle, Sam is shot and killed, leaving Molly heartbroken. Meanwhile, Sam becomes a ghost and soon discovers that his so-called friend Carl was actually the mastermind behind his death. To steal a large sum of money from the bank, Carl needed the secret code only Sam knew. Now, Carl begins to pursue Molly.

Sam gradually learns how to use his newfound powers. He often lingers around Molly, protecting her constantly but unable to communicate with her directly. In order to stop Carl, Sam finds Oda, a medium who can communicate with ghosts, through whom he establishes contact with Molly. At first, Molly doesn't believe it. But as evidence accumulates, she eventually senses Sam's presence. However, the two deeply in love cannot directly touch or communicate. To protect Molly and punish the murderer, Sam begins his revenge on Carl. He retrieves the stolen money from Carl and ensures retribution for some of Carl’s henchmen. Enraged, Carl tries to harm Molly. Fortunately, Oda and Sam arrive just in time. Faced with the vengeful ghost, Carl ultimately meets his demise. With his wish fulfilled, Sam is about to ascend to heaven. Before disappearing, Molly finally sees Sam materialize, and they embrace tightly...
