The elusive Batman will this time face the strongest opponent of his life - Mr. Freeze. Dr. Victor Fries, nicknamed "Mr. Freeze," was originally a rare genius in the scientific community. However, an accident caused a drastic change in his disposition; he now relies on special equipment just to maintain a normal life. Worse still, unless he can keep all of Gotham City at sub-zero temperatures, his beloved wife will remain in a perpetual coma. In order to achieve this goal, Dr. Fries transforms into "Mr. Freeze" and begins a carefully planned series of criminal actions to gradually expand his frozen kingdom. All of Gotham City is shrouded in the fear of being “iced over.” In Mr. Freeze's plan, Batman is the primary obstacle to freezing Gotham City, and he must eliminate Batman at any cost.
