Episode 04 Plot Summary: In Central's Gough Street old tenement building "Room For Rent," a British repatriate woman and a young, beautiful beer girl move in separately, thus revealing the quirky faces of a group of tenants from all over: a struggling British gentleman, an elder with no savings but knowledge, a mainland returnee manager, a mischievous "bankrupt" king, an idealistic young street fighter, and a South Asian real estate worker raised in Hong Kong... Each has their own reasons for hardship and different purposes for living here, but they share the same goal: hoping to one day "rise to prominence." Amidst the conflicting interests of you and me, me and him, every day in the old tenement building unfolds a series of exciting life dramas: family bonds, friendship, love, brotherhood, patriotism, and more.

These eight quirky tenants bring to light various social issues: urban renewal, aimless youth, racial discrimination, the plight of the youth, complaint-filled cities, new cross-border marriages, stress, debt, mainlandization, aging, health, prospects...
