Lee Byung-hun plays the male lead Hyun-joon, a genius-level national security agent at the National Security Agency who risks his life with his lover for the safety of the nation. The female assassin played by Kim So-yeon was originally sent to kill Hyun-joon but ends up falling in love with him despite their opposing positions. The astute agents played by Jung Joon-ho and Kim Seong-woo are also drawn into intense intelligence battles, while the cold-blooded assassin portrayed by T.O.P adds even more tension and complexity to the storyline. "IRIS" garnered attention and anticipation from the start of filming, whether it was the spy theme, the enticing posters, or the couple pairing of Kim Tae-hee and Lee Byung-hun, all contributing to making this series one of the most anticipated shows of the year.
