Charmaine Sheh plays the palace maid Liu Sanhao, who, with her "three good" spirit of "having good intentions, saying good words, doing good deeds," rises above the complex power struggles in the harem and develops a romantic relationship with "rumored couple" Felix Chong that is reminiscent of the love affair between Dae Jang Geum and Minister Min.

Liu Sanhao (Charmaine Sheh) and Yao Jinling (Racheal Wong) are sworn sisters in the palace. As young maids, they are often given various tasks. At the time, the harem was controlled by four departments: the Department of Food led by Tan Yanshang (Vivian Hui), responsible for delicious food; the Department of Embroidery led by Zhong Xuexia (Snowy Mi), responsible for embroidered garments; the Department of Decorations led by Hu Su'en (Suen Lai-chun), responsible for interior decorations; and the Department of Treasures led by Ruan Cuinyun (Lisa Kwan), responsible for jewelry. Seizing an opportunity to secretly seduce Emperor Li Yi (Christopher Gor), Jinling becomes Consort Li and engages in rivalry with Consort Wan Baoxian (Carmen Lee). Meanwhile, Sanhao, with her clever hands and ingenuity, becomes a high-ranking palace official. When both Sanhao and Jinling hold significant power, their sisterly bond breaks due to their mutual affection for palace guard Gao Xianyang (Felix Chong). Jinling seeks to punish the four departments, but Sanhao repays grievances with virtue and protects the four. Jinling uses this as an excuse to persecute Sanhao...
