On the evening of October 16, at the Wukesong National Stadium in Beijing, PICC held a large-scale cultural evening titled "Glory and Light, Together through the Years" to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the company. Leaders from central ministries and state-owned enterprises, leaders from PICC Group and its subsidiaries, outstanding employees, marketing representatives, customer representatives, as well as PLA representatives who had just returned from the military parade and the general public, along with stars such as Jackie Chan, Liu Shikun, Yuquan, gathered together to celebrate the prosperity of the great motherland, the 60th anniversary of PICC, and sang the songs of glory for PICC.
A journey of 60 years through wind and rain, 60 years of passionate dedication. Founded on October 20, 1949, PICC has gone through an extraordinary 60-year development process. Over the past 60 years, under the close care of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, and under the correct leadership of the CIRC, Ministry of Finance and other superior agencies, and with the strong support from all sectors of society, PICC has upheld the glorious mission of serving the people through insurance and shouldered the historical responsibility of promoting social harmony. Through hard work and striving forward, PICC has achieved world-renowned brilliant achievements. Currently, it has developed into a large financial insurance group with over 10 professional subsidiaries, whose business scope covers property insurance, life insurance, health insurance, asset management, trust, funds, insurance brokerage and many other fields; with nearly 400,000 cadres, employees, and marketers, and more than 12,000 branches and marketing service outlets spread across urban and rural areas nationwide. As an outstanding representative of the Chinese insurance industry's international brand image, PICC was the only domestic insurance partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the only global insurance partner of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, and the insurance partner of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. These witnesses and participants of the 60-year journey of PICC have silently contributed to its growth and development over the years. They are the outstanding representatives of PICC personnel and the concentrated embodiment of the PICC spirit. Their moving and inspiring stories clearly outline a beautiful blueprint for the future development of PICC.
Accompanied by majestic music, PLA representatives and public representatives who had just returned from the military parade came onto the stage, sharing happy memories with the PICC employees. Listening to their stories and feeling their honor, the entire venue seemed to return to the Tiananmen Square where flags were like the sea, flowers were like clouds, and joyful songs surged like waves. Accompanying the 60-year journey of the republic and the victories of the Chinese people, PICC has practiced its unwavering commitment with its solid 60-year footprints - People's Insurance, Serving the People.
The entire evening gradually drew to a close with the melodious tune of the same song. Reflecting on the past and looking to the future, following the firm steps of the republic moving forward, PICC will continue to write its own glorious tomorrow.
