In memory of the recently deceased King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Sony Pictures will release the concert film "The King of Pop's Final Performance" for a limited two-week engagement starting on October 28th around the world. Today, the first poster of the film has been released, showing the King of Pop in an open-armed dance pose, his silhouette recalling unforgettable stage moments for fans.

The memorial concert film "The King of Pop's Final Performance" (This Is It) launched its first trailer at the MTV Video Music Awards. Accompanying the trailer was a rare video of Michael's final rehearsal, giving fans a chance to alleviate their longing before the official release of the film.

The English title "This Is It" was originally the name of Michael Jackson's planned series of 50 concerts from July this year to March next year, intended as his final farewell to music.

The film is produced by AEG Live, the company that originally organized Jackson's farewell concert, using hundreds of hours of footage filmed during Jackson's rehearsals. Carefully edited and combined with behind-the-scenes footage, it fully presents Jackson's meticulous involvement in every aspect of the concert's preparation, including song selection, dance, stage design, choreography, music, and lighting.

"The King of Pop's Final Performance" is directed by Kenny Ortega, who collaborated with Jackson in planning the concert and also directed the movie "High School Musical." The film includes newly recorded videos prepared specifically for the concert, including a new version of the classic hit "Thriller." The movie features high-resolution visuals and advanced digital sound effects, with some scenes presented in 3D to highlight Jackson's dynamic performances and spectacular stage settings, enhancing the audience's sense of being there live. The film also includes behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson's rehearsals for a series of performances in London. Part of the box office proceeds will go to Jackson's estate for the care of his mother, Katherine, and his three children, with a portion allocated for charity.

The film has passed censorship smoothly and will premiere simultaneously worldwide in mainland China on October 28th.
