Plot Introduction: In the autumn of 1937, General Gong Dianjun, the commander of the twelfth regiment of the Anti-Japanese United Army's Third Division, who made the Japanese army terrified, mysteriously disappeared overnight. Soon after, a group of bandits calling themselves "Thirteen Provinces" suddenly appeared in the heartland of the Japanese army, the Zhaoyuan area of Harbin. They were thirteen men and one big-footed woman. No one knew their origins or what they intended to do. This was precisely the secret plan devised by General Li Zhaolin of the Third Division in the face of a crisis moment with General Gong Dianjun, taking advantage of Director Du Biàn Zhèngyóng of the Guandong Military Police Affairs Department's strategy of "only fighting the Anti-Japanese United Army, not fighting bandits." Twelve highly skilled Anti-Japanese United Army soldiers were selected from the Third Division to pretend to be bandits resisting the Japanese, calling themselves "Thirteen Provinces." The word "province" means "awakening and enlightenment."

Gong Dianjun led the Thirteen Provinces into the Zhaoyuan area, where they openly maneuvered between the Japanese devils, collaborators, and bandits, but secretly engaged in deadly battles with them. They seized grain warehouses, bombed airports, ambushed enemies, and acted day and night with stealth. They grew stronger, transitioning from covert operations to open warfare. A brave anti-Japanese armed force created chaos in the Guandong Army's heavily fortified areas, causing the devils to lose their souls.

In the spring of 1941, Gong Dianjun designed an ambush that annihilated Du Biàn Zhèngyóng and his troops in the Baijiafen area. The Thirteen Provinces successfully completed their mission, and all fell gloriously in the end. However, no one erected a monument for them, no one recognized them as martyrs, and they even bore the curse of being bandits and collaborators. As time passed, they were gradually forgotten in people’s memories...
