*"Through the Fog to See Flowers"* is a contemporary urban drama. It tells the story of antiques collector Huang Lide (played by Li Youbin), who, in order to produce and sell fake antiques, wants to take control of the Antic Auction Company. He conspired with the company's director, Chen Hanshu, to bring down the upright general manager of Antic, Tang Jingming. In a time of crisis, Tang Jingming's apprentice Zheng Yan (played by Xing Jiadong) stepped forward and thwarted Huang Lide’s conspiracy. Zheng Yan’s colleague and good friend, Xia Haisheng (played by Zhang Bo), unable to resist temptation, was lured by Huang Lide into becoming his accomplice. Both Zheng and Xia fell in love with Huang Lide’s daughter, Huang Yijiang (played by Song Xiaobao). Xia Haisheng repeatedly attempted to drive a wedge between Zheng Yan and Huang Yijiang’s romantic relationship.
