Astro Boy Storyline: After losing his beloved son, the brilliant scientist Dr. Tenma creates the robot Astro Boy as a replacement for his son, programming him with the best qualities and values of humanity. Astro Boy not only has emotional changes and empathy but also carries the residual emotions and memories of Dr. Tenma's son. However, he is unable to bring joy back to the grieving doctor, who fails to cherish this unique invention, finding no meaning in his mechanical son’s superpowers. Astro Boy regards Dr. Tenma as his father until he is ultimately abandoned by him, discovering that he is not human, suffering a double blow.

Astro Boy becomes an orphan without a home, confused about his identity. Where is his place? This is the theme of the story and the challenge fate gives Astro Boy. Like other abandoned children, Astro Boy just wants to find a place to belong. He resists accepting his true identity and disguises himself as a human to blend in with a gang of street kids. He looks up to the gang leader Hama as a father figure, but Hama exposes his robotic nature and tries to turn Astro Boy into a harmful mechanical warrior.

Astro Boy is arrested by President Stone, who enforces military law, leaving him feeling utterly hopeless. Dr. Tenma is called to retrieve Astro Boy’s energy source. When Astro Boy kindly forgives his father for his actions, the doctor is moved and realizes his mistakes. The father and son reconcile, and the doctor even helps Astro Boy escape.

In the final epic battle, all characters come together. Through his adventures, Astro Boy grows and accepts his unique combination of being both machine and human. He takes on the responsibility of saving all of humanity.
