Plot of Black Book: The story takes place towards the end of World War II in the Netherlands, where a German-Jewish girl narrowly escapes with her life while all her family members are killed during their escape to the southern liberated area. She joins the resistance organization and begins investigating who betrayed her family... During the period nearing the end of WWII, on the Dutch battlefield, the surviving German Jewish girl Rachel Stein joins the Dutch underground resistance organization to find out who betrayed her family, resulting in all her family members being killed during the struggle to liberate the south. Having just escaped from the battlefield, she hides by becoming an outstanding singer. However, when the hideout of this beautiful Jewish female singer is bombed and she has nowhere else to go, she escapes with another group of Jewish refugees. But, their ship is discovered by German patrol personnel midway, and all the refugees are killed except for Rachel. She infiltrates the German ranks, using the alias Alice, to get along with the Germans. A German officer treats Alice well and arranges work for her. The Dutch resistance organization wants to rescue their captured people and asks Alice for help, but the plan is known by a traitor. Both the German military side and the Dutch resistance organization see her as an enemy, putting her in a desperate situation again. The German officer who always cared for her escapes and hides with her, waiting for the war to end. And after the war ends, it does not bring freedom to Alice because every survivor is, to some extent, guilty, and she must find that traitor...
