Guan Yu and Zhang Fei are high school students, but due to their excessive love for upholding justice, they have been expelled from twenty-four schools, hence the nickname "The Twenty-Four Schools." Just as they feel despair over yet another expulsion, a man with large earlobes appears. He introduces himself as Liu Bei, styled Xuande, a member of a fallen noble family who frequently changes schools because he cannot afford the tuition fees. Liu Bei devises a plan: leveraging his noble lineage, he can enroll in the nation's best aristocratic school, Donghan Academy. However, only members of the imperial family can attend, and the tuition is prohibitively expensive. Zhang Fei, being wealthy, offers to pay everyone's tuition. Liu Bei then suggests that the three swear brotherhood, making them all royal kin and thus eligible for enrollment. After reciting their oath—“We do not seek to be born on the same day, but we wish to die on the same day”—a group of four individuals from the Iron Time-Space, including Xiu, Wang DONG, Ding Xiaoyu, and WANG YASHE, accidentally enter the Silver Time-Space. An accidental chain reaction caused by Wang DONG results in a falling rock striking Liu Bei, seemingly killing him. Guan Yu, bound by honor, wishes to follow his elder brother to death. Zhang Fei, unable to dissuade him, knocks Guan Yu unconscious. To everyone's relief, Liu Bei is found alive but severely injured. After deliberation, it is decided that Xiu, who bears a striking resemblance to Liu Bei, will stay behind as his double to maintain time-space order. Reluctantly, Xiu agrees. Meanwhile, the others take the seriously wounded Liu Bei back to the Iron Time-Space for treatment. Upon waking, Guan Yu rejoices at the news of Xiu impersonating Liu Bei's survival, and Zhang Fei is also relieved that they don't have to die together. Thus, the three finally enter Donghan Academy, where Guan Yu and Zhang Fei believe they can carve out a new future.
Their goal is to graduate from Donghan Academy, but its fame attracts attacks from Gold University and Hedong University (where Dong Zhuo is the principal), placing Donghan Academy in constant peril. Master Zu Ci even sets up the 'Eight Gates Golden Lock Formation' outside the school gates to hinder classes. Naturally, the trio takes on the responsibility of breaking the formation. During this process, Guan Yu saves Zhao Yun's life by shielding him with his arm during a critical moment. This action resolves the past animosity between Zhao Yun and the other two, leading Zhao Yun to call them brothers and work together loyally.
