Following the previous series, DIE under Lang's leadership continuously solves strange cases and eventually gets "honorably dissolved." With Crystal taking a temporary maternity leave and Sir Fee retiring back to his hometown in Scotland, the rest return to their previous workplaces. However, their quirky personalities and styles remain unchanged, continuing to cause headaches for their superiors and facing exclusion at work.
During a large official event, the former members of DIE gather on-site for various reasons to perform tasks. Coincidentally, Crystal, passing by with her baby, habitually captures her archenemy Big Mouth Ying engaged in illegal activities, mistakenly entering a restricted area. This triggers a chain reaction, causing everyone to flounder and embarrass the top police officer... The blame falls down, and high-ranking police officers convene an emergency meeting. Lang's immediate superior, Law Yau Hang, to get rid of troublesome subordinates again, proactively proposes reorganizing DIE, concentrating this group of troublemakers who can't be fired together, letting them survive or perish on their own. Since the original head of DIE, Sir Fee, has retired, Hang is forced to take on the responsibility of leading DIE.
Upon learning about the reorganization of DIE, Crystal becomes very eager and requests to end her maternity leave and resume work as soon as possible. However, due to Lang's macho mentality, he tricks Crystal into agreeing to take a year off to be a full-time mom and take good care of the baby. Later, when Lang's tricks are uncovered by Crystal, she refuses to be manipulated by Lang and decides to apply for reinstatement independently. Crystal returns to the Serious Crime Unit and collaborates with newly arrived high-flyers. Their contrasting personalities and styles clash like Mars colliding with Earth. Moreover, since Crystal had previously offended the top boss, her superior fears that she will drag down the Serious Crime Unit and thus finds excuses to transfer her back to DIE. Returning to DIE, Crystal entrusts her baby to her relatives for care. Unexpectedly, this leads to differing opinions between Crystal's mother and grandmother over how to care for the baby, resulting in constant arguments day and night. To prevent family discord, Crystal's father orders her to personally take care of the baby. Thus, Crystal brings the baby to work, where the DIE team takes turns caring for it, leading to countless humorous situations...
Hang, in order to quickly get rid of the difficulties, constantly overworks everyone and deliberately splits DIE, forcing Lang and Crystal to lead separate teams to compete in solving cases. Initially, Lang and Crystal just do their jobs diligently, but Lang, relying on his psychic intuition, repeatedly solves cases, making their group's performance far ahead... Meanwhile, Crystal unintentionally discovers that the baby seems to have inherited Lang's traits, possessing incredible supernatural abilities, often able to predict answers to some things, helping Crystal make correct choices and repeatedly escape danger. Crystal, half-believing and half-doubting, temporarily does not inform Lang about this matter... Crystal, unwilling to involve her subordinates in being unjustly dismissed, secretly uses the baby's supernatural abilities to assist in investigations, impressing everyone. However, Lang eventually learns about this and is very dissatisfied. He fears that this might adversely affect the baby's growth and strongly opposes Crystal abusing the baby's supernatural abilities. This adds fuel to the fire in the relationship between Lang and Crystal. At this time, Lang reunites with his first love, Man Chuchu. Lang works hard to help Chu clear the suspicion of murder, making Crystal extremely jealous, and the couple falls into a cold war... Unexpectedly, Xiao Yi appears again, but this Xiao Yi is not the real Xiao Yi... Due to possibly thinking about Xiao Yi all day, Lang dreams of meeting Xiao Yi. As for Qing, seeing Lang and Crystal getting married and having offspring, she feels it's time to pursue her ideal. So, she studies abroad alone. Since Qing left Hong Kong, the business of Yiexianqian has only relied on Mei and Pei's hard support. When Pei encounters difficulties at work, she can only seek help from Yi.
