In order to find the Titanic, which sank in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912, and the precious treasures on board - the invaluable "Heart of the Ocean," treasure hunter Brock retrieved a rusted safe from the wreckage. To his surprise, inside was only a perfectly preserved sketch - a portrait of a young woman wearing a diamond necklace. This TV news caught the attention of a centenarian woman who became extremely excited and immediately boarded a helicopter to reach Brock's salvage ship. Her name was Rose Dawson, and she was the very woman depicted in the portrait.

Looking at the portrait, memories of the past flooded back into the old woman's mind: On April 12, 1912, the Titanic, prepared for its maiden voyage, was docked in the harbor. The wharf was crowded with people eager to witness the largest and most luxurious ship ever built by mankind. Rose, a beautiful and elegant noblewoman, boarded the first-class cabin with her mother and fiancé - Cal Hockley, the son of a steel magnate and a wealthy businessman. Meanwhile, the other protagonist of the film - the young wandering artist Jack Dawson - won a third-class ticket through gambling and shouted, "We are the luckiest..." as he boarded the giant ship at the last moment. The Titanic set sail, and the early spring Atlantic Ocean was calm and sunny. Jack and his companions stood at the bow of the ship looking forward, shouting joyfully, thrilled as if the world already belonged to them.

Living within the social circle of high society, Rose had grown weary of the tedious conversations of the nobility. Feeling like a bird in a cage, she frowned and came to the deck to look afar, seeking solace for her melancholy. Jack, upon seeing Rose, was deeply captivated by her grace. As night fell after another evening of revelry and shopping, Rose felt utterly helpless about her future and marriage. She rushed to the deck, attempting to jump into the sea and end her life. Jack discovered her just in time and managed to convince her with his sincerity and unique humor. Despite Cal's reluctance, he had to invite Jack to dine in the first-class cabin out of gratitude for saving Rose. Though Cal intended to belittle Jack, Jack's candid words at the dining table earned applause from everyone. From then on, Jack and Rose began to know each other, and Rose confided in Jack her inner troubles: "I feel like my whole life is no more than this, as if I've already lived a lifetime. Endless parties, balls, yacht races, polo matches, and all the people I meet have narrow minds and insincere hearts. I feel like I'm standing on the edge of a cliff, and no one pulls me back, no one cares, no one even notices."

After discovering the interactions between Jack and Rose, Cal was very displeased. He gave Rose an invaluable diamond necklace called the "Heart of the Ocean" and confessed his feelings in an attempt to win her affection. However, in Rose's eyes, Cal was nothing more than a complete opportunist, and she did not want to marry him from the bottom of her heart. But under the pressure of her mother and fiancé, Rose had to avoid Jack's affections. It was precisely because of this that Rose realized she had fallen deeply in love with Jack.

From acquaintance to love, though it was only a few short days, Rose and Jack could no longer be apart. In the bedroom, Rose put on the "Heart of the Ocean," and Jack sketched the portrait that would leave an indelible impression on her. Rose decided to ignore the pressures of family and propriety and live with Jack once the Titanic reached shore. Happiness seemed so close for this couple.

Bruce Ismay, the manager of the White Star Line, in order to make the Titanic set a record for crossing the Atlantic, disregarded the potential threat of icebergs and hinted to Captain Smith to increase the ship's speed. On the night of the 14th, the sea surface was unusually calm, and the Titanic continued to travel at full speed. After the lookout tower spotted an iceberg directly ahead, they immediately notified the cockpit and the chief officer, but the massive inertia of the ship made it impossible to evade in time. The ship's right side was torn open by the iceberg, and six compartments were flooded. The supposedly unsinkable Titanic would sink within two hours. At this point, there were only enough lifeboats for half the passengers, and panic spread throughout the ship.

Unexpectedly, Jack was framed by Hockley for stealing the diamond and was locked up in a lower cabin. Unaware of the truth, Rose waited with others on the deck for the lifeboats, but she ultimately believed in Jack's innocence. Regardless of everything, Rose returned to the empty cabin to find Jack and managed to rescue him with a life-saving axe at a critical moment. The two arrived on the deck, and Rose, persuaded by Jack, boarded the lifeboat. As the lifeboat slowly descended, Rose appeared dazed, suddenly abandoning what might be her last chance of escape and jumping back onto the Titanic. The couple embraced tightly together.

The "Dream Ship" Titanic began to slowly sink, and a tragedy unfolded. The dark ocean and sky merged, mercilessly swallowing the desperate passengers. Jack and Rose ran to the stern of the ship, climbing over the railing (the place where their love began) and held on until the Titanic sank. After struggling out of the huge whirlpool, Jack pushed Rose onto a floating plank, while he himself remained submerged in the freezing seawater.

Hours later, the rescue ship returned and saved Rose, who was barely alive, while Jack was cruelly swallowed by the icy sea, having long frozen stiff. Rose kept the promise she made to Jack and bravely continued living.

Eighty-four years later, Rose returned to the place where the Titanic sank and threw the "Heart of the Ocean" into the sea, paying tribute to Jack's spirit...
