Following the previous series, under the leadership of Long, DIE continuously solved strange cases and finally achieved "honorable dissolution." Except for Crystal taking a temporary maternity leave and Sir Fee retiring back to his hometown in Scotland, the rest of the team returned to their former workplaces. However, their quirky personalities and styles remained unchanged, continuing to cause headaches for their superiors and facing exclusion at work.
During a large official event, the former members of DIE gathered on-site for different reasons to carry out tasks. Coincidentally, Crystal, who was passing by with her baby, accidentally intruded into a restricted area while habitually capturing her old nemesis Big Mouth Ying, causing a chain reaction. The team's clumsiness resulted in embarrassing the top cop... The blame fell on them, prompting high-level police meetings. Long's direct superior, Law Yau Hang, seeing this as an opportunity to get rid of troublesome subordinates, proposed reorganizing DIE, concentrating these problematic but un-dismissable individuals together to let them fend for themselves. Since the original head of DIE, Sir Fee, had retired, Hang was forced to take on the responsibility of leading DIE.
Upon learning about the reorganization of DIE, Crystal became very eager and requested to end her maternity leave early and return to work. However, Long, influenced by his macho mentality, used small tricks to persuade Crystal to take a year off and focus on being a full-time mom to take care of the baby. Later, when Crystal discovered Long's schemes, she decided to apply for reinstatement herself. Returning to the Serious Crime Unit, Crystal partnered with a newly arrived high achiever, whose contrasting personalities and styles were like a collision between Mars and Earth. Additionally, having previously offended the top cop, Crystal's superiors feared she would drag down the Serious Crime Unit, so they transferred her back to DIE under some pretext. Back at DIE, Crystal entrusted her baby to various colleagues for care. However, differing views between Crystal's mother and grandmother over childcare led to constant arguments. To avoid family discord, Crystal's father ordered her to take care of the baby herself, forcing her to bring the baby to work, where the team took turns looking after it, resulting in countless comedic situations...
Hang, hoping to quickly get rid of the difficulties, overworked the team and deliberately split DIE, forcing Long and Crystal to lead separate teams in solving cases. Initially, Long and Crystal just performed their duties, but Long's psychic abilities allowed him to solve cases repeatedly, putting his group far ahead... Meanwhile, Crystal inadvertently discovered that her baby seemed to have inherited Long's traits, possessing inexplicable supernatural abilities that often predicted answers to things, helping her make correct choices and repeatedly escape danger. At this time, Long encountered his first love, Wen Chuchu, and worked hard to help clear her name in a murder case, making Crystal jealous and leading to a cold war between the couple... Unexpectedly, Xiao Yi reappeared, but this was not the real Xiao Yi... Confused by his thoughts, Long dreamt of Xiao Yi, who warned him of unresolved life-and-death fates between him and Crystal. Although temporarily avoided by Crystal giving birth, as the baby grew, misfortune would return, endangering Crystal again. Just as Long doubted this, the major villain from the previous series, Zhen Xiangrong, reappeared before Long and Crystal... As for Qing, seeing Long and Crystal married and having offspring, felt it was time to pursue her own dreams and went abroad for further studies. Yi didn't take it seriously at first, waiting for Qing to return and marry him, unaware of the crisis in their relationship... Since Qing left Hong Kong, the business of Yiexianqian relied solely on Mei and Pei. When Pei faced difficulties at work, she sought help from Yi. Through this, Pei recognized Yi's kindness, positivity, and optimism, greatly appreciating him and becoming good friends.
