"Zero Second Shot" Plot Introduction:
This summer's Monday at 9 PM slot will bring you a fast-paced youth romance story delivered by a professional basketball team.
The story features a boy who is delicate and timid by nature but remains upright, and a girl who is stubborn, lively, and outgoing, yet cannot openly confront her own feelings. This summer, they are troubled by ambiguous friendships or romances, but also grow in the process.
For the lead role, Tomohisa Yamashita takes on the mantle of the male protagonist. Beyond his role as the captain of NEWS, whether it was the previous "Fraud Hunter," "Proposal Daisakusen," or last summer's "Code Blue," almost all of his works have been immensely popular, with his popularity as stable as a mountain, making him a guaranteed ratings booster. However, this time he is no longer the cold-faced doctor from "Code Blue," but rather transforms into a professional basketball player—a man who, whether in love or basketball, tends to back down when it matters most.
In the drama, Keiko Kitagawa plays the role of Shirakawa Riko, who shares a romantic storyline with Tomohisa Yamashita. Additionally, CM star Saki Aibata portrays Yamashita's lover in the series, challenging a more assertive character that could broaden her acting career.
Shihori Kanjiya, an actress whose skills are highly recognized, plays the friend of Keiko Kitagawa in the drama, playing an interesting chemical role in the development of the relationship between Kitagawa and Yamashita. Atsunari Mizo, who had a role in the spring hit "Boss," will also appear as a colleague of the male protagonist. Lastly, Hideaki Ito, with extensive acting experience, originally plays Yamashita's confidant in the drama, but eventually becomes his rival in love.
