Plot Introduction:

"Queen Seondeok" tells the story of Princess Dae-Man (played by Lee Yo Won), who was abandoned as a child due to an ominous prophecy. Through relentless effort and navigating power struggles within the palace, she grows to become the first queen regnant of Silla - Queen Seondeok.

Under the control of Mi-Shil (played by Go Hyun Jung) in the royal harem, Queen Jinpyeong and Lady Maya give birth to twin daughters. However, for the king, the birth of twins is considered highly inauspicious, signifying the "end of holy bone men." In despair, King Jinpyeong has no choice but to send away the second daughter, Dae-Man. However, Mi-Shil sends her people to secretly hunt down and kill Dae-Man. At a critical moment, Dae-Man is saved by the legendary Hwarang figure Moon-u, who devises a plan to rescue her and entrusts her to King Jinpyeong's maid Choe-hwa for raising. Choe-hwa takes Dae-Man to the desert regions of China, where she is raised in a small inn.

Dae-Man's greatest enemy, Mi-Shil, wields her extraordinary beauty to gain the favor of King Jinheung and seize control over the palace. Ambitious, after King Jinheung's death, she installs the young King Jinpyeong on the throne. When King Jinpyeong's wife gives birth to twin daughters, Mi-Shil plans to use the lives of these twin daughters to threaten King Jinpyeong and directly grasp the royal power.
