Introduction of Genius Detective B:
Following the events of the previous season, DIE under Lang's leadership solved many bizarre cases and was finally "honorably disbanded." Except for Crystal taking a temporary maternity leave and Fee Sir retiring back to his hometown in Scotland, the rest of the team returned to their previous workplaces. However, their quirky personalities and styles remained unchanged, continuing to cause headaches for their superiors and facing exclusion at work.
During a large official event, the former members of DIE gathered on-site for various reasons to carry out tasks. Crystal, who happened to be nearby with her baby, instinctively caught her arch-nemesis Big Mouth Ying committing illegal activities, accidentally intruding into a restricted area. This caused a chain reaction, leading to chaos and embarrassment for the top cop... The blame fell on the police force's higher-ups, prompting an emergency meeting. In order to get rid of troublesome subordinates once again, Luo Youheng, Lang's immediate superior, proactively suggested reassembling DIE, concentrating this group of troublemakers who couldn't be fired, leaving them to fend for themselves. Since the original DIE supervisor, Fee Sir, had retired, Heng was reluctantly placed in charge of DIE.
Upon learning about the reformation of DIE, Crystal became very eager and requested to end her maternity leave and return to work as soon as possible. However, due to Lang's patriarchal mindset, he used some tricks to convince Crystal to take a year off and focus on being a full-time mother, properly taking care of the baby. Later, when Crystal discovered Lang's schemes, she decided to apply for reinstatement independently. Upon returning to the Major Case Unit, Crystal partnered with a newly arrived high achiever whose personality and style clashed with hers like Mars colliding with Earth. Moreover, having previously offended the top cop, her superiors were worried that Crystal would jeopardize the Major Case Unit and thus transferred her back to DIE under the pretext of reassignment. Returning to DIE, Crystal handed over the baby to her family for care, which led to disagreements between her mother and grandmother regarding the baby's upbringing, resulting in constant quarrels day and night. To avoid a family rift, Crystal's father ordered her to take care of the baby herself. Thus, Crystal brought the baby to work, where the DIE team took turns looking after the baby, creating a series of comedic situations...
In order to quickly get rid of the difficulties, Heng continuously overworked the team and deliberately split DIE, forcing Lang and Crystal to lead separate groups in solving cases competitively. Initially, Lang and Crystal just did their respective duties, but Lang's psychic abilities allowed him to solve cases repeatedly, putting his group far ahead in performance... Meanwhile, Crystal inadvertently discovered that the baby seemed to have inherited Lang's traits, possessing incredible supernatural abilities that could often predict answers to certain questions, helping Crystal make correct decisions and repeatedly turn crises into safety. Doubtful yet hesitant to inform Lang, Crystal secretly used the baby's supernatural abilities to assist in investigations, impressing everyone. However, Lang eventually found out and was extremely dissatisfied, fearing it might negatively impact the baby's growth. He strongly opposed Crystal's abuse of the baby's supernatural abilities, further straining their relationship. At this time, Lang reunited with his first love, Wendy, who worked hard to clear her name in a murder case, making Crystal jealous and causing a cold war between the couple... Unexpectedly, Xiao Yi reappeared, but this one was not the real Xiao Yi... Due to his thoughts, Lang dreamt of Xiao Yi, who warned him in the dream that the life-and-death destiny between Lang and Crystal was still unresolved. Although the birth of their baby temporarily averted disaster, as the baby grew older, misfortune would return, and Crystal would face mortal danger once again. Just as Lang was skeptical about this, the major villain from the previous season, Zhen Xiangrong, reappeared before Lang and Crystal... It turned out that this person was actually Zhen Xiangrong's twin brother, Zhen Xianghua, who had been secretly hospitalized in a foreign psychiatric hospital due to mental issues and had now returned to carry out his revenge plan...
As for Qing, seeing Lang and Crystal married and continuing the family line, she felt it was time to pursue her own dreams and went abroad for further studies. Yi initially didn't take it seriously, waiting for Qing to return after completing her education and start a family together, unaware that their feelings had already changed... Since Qing left Hong Kong, the business of Yi Qianqian has only relied on Mei and Pei to struggle hard. When Pei encountered difficulties at work, she sought help from Yi, who, considering himself half-owner of Yi Qianqian, repeatedly endured grievances to help her. Through this, Pei came to appreciate Yi's kindness, positivity, and optimism, becoming good friends with him. As time passed, Qing living abroad felt her life goals changing and secretly revealed her intentions to Lang and Crystal, hoping they would persuade Yi not to wait for her anymore... This matter was unintentionally discovered by Pei, who thought it was unfair for Yi and couldn't bear to see him continue preparing for an impossible wedding. Therefore, she taught Yi various romantic methods to express his feelings to Qing far away in a foreign country, hoping Yi could salvage this precious relationship...
