Introduction to Tricky Detective B:

Following the storyline from the previous season, DIE (the Investigation Team), under the leadership of Lang, successfully solved many bizarre cases and eventually achieved an honorable disbandment. Except for Jingle who is on maternity leave and Fee Sir who has retired back to his hometown in Scotland, the rest of the team members have returned to their previous workplaces. However, their quirky personalities and styles remain unchanged, continuing to cause headaches for their superiors and leading to exclusion at work.

During a large-scale official event, the former members of DIE gather on-site for different reasons to carry out tasks. Coincidentally, Jingle, passing by with her baby, instinctively catches her arch-enemy Big Mouth Ying committing illegal activities, mistakenly intruding into a restricted area. This triggers a chain reaction, causing chaos among everyone, which embarrasses the top cop publicly... As a result, the top brass of the police force convenes an emergency meeting. Lang's immediate superior, Luo Youheng, seeing this as an opportunity to get rid of his troublesome subordinates, proposes the reformation of DIE. This group of troublemakers, who cannot be fired but are problematic, are once again brought together. However, since the original head of DIE, Fee Sir, has retired, Heng is forced to take up the responsibility of leading DIE.

When Jingle learns about the reformation of DIE, she becomes very eager to return to work and requests to end her maternity leave early. However, due to Lang's patriarchal mindset, he tricks Jingle into agreeing to take a year off to focus on being a full-time mom and taking care of the baby. Later, when Jingle uncovers Lang's schemes, she refuses to be manipulated by him and decides to apply for reinstatement on her own. Jingle returns to the Serious Crime Unit and collaborates with a newly arrived high-flyer. Their contrasting personalities and styles clash like Mars colliding with Earth. Moreover, due to Jingle having previously offended the top cop, her superior fears that she might jeopardize the Serious Crime Unit and thus finds an excuse to transfer her back to DIE. Back at DIE, Jingle entrusts the care of her baby to various family members, which leads to differing opinions between Jingle's mother and grandmother over how best to look after the baby, resulting in constant quarrels day and night. To avoid a family feud, Jingle's father orders her to take care of the baby herself. Consequently, Jingle brings the baby to work, where the DIE team takes turns looking after the baby, creating a series of comedic situations...
