Introduction to "Supernatural Investigators B":
Continuing from the previous series, DIE under Lang's leadership solves numerous bizarre cases and eventually gets "honorably disbanded." Apart from Jingle taking maternity leave and Fee Sir retiring back to his hometown of Scotland, the rest of the team returns to their previous workplaces. However, their quirky personalities and styles remain unchanged, continuing to cause headaches for their superiors and facing exclusion at work.
During a large official event, the former members of DIE gather on-site for various reasons to carry out tasks. Coincidentally, Jing with her baby passes by nearby and instinctively captures her arch-nemesis Big Mouth Ying who is committing illegal activities. This leads her to accidentally enter a restricted area, triggering a chain reaction causing chaos and embarrassment to the top cop... As a result, the police high command convenes an emergency meeting. Lang's immediate superior, Luo Youheng, seeing this as an opportunity to get rid of his troublesome subordinates, proposes re-establishing DIE, bringing this group of troublemakers who cannot be fired back together, leaving them to fend for themselves. Due to the original DIE supervisor Fee Sir’s retirement, Heng is unexpectedly appointed to take charge of DIE.
Upon learning about the reformation of DIE, Jing becomes very interested and requests to end her maternity leave early to return to work. However, Lang, being overly patriarchal, tricks Jing into agreeing to take a year-long break to be a full-time mom and take care of the baby. Later, when Lang's trickery is uncovered by Jing, she refuses to be manipulated by Lang and decides to apply for reinstatement herself. Upon returning to the Serious Crime Unit and partnering with a newly arrived prodigy, their contrasting personalities and styles clash like Mars colliding with Earth. Additionally, since Jing had previously offended the top cop, her superior fears that she might drag down the Serious Crime Unit. Hence, under the pretext, Jing is reassigned back to DIE. Back at DIE, Jing entrusts her baby to her extended family for care, but this causes disagreements between her mother and grandmother over how to look after the baby, leading to constant bickering day and night. To avoid a family feud, Jing's father orders her to take care of the baby herself. Consequently, Jing brings her baby to work, where the DIE team takes turns caring for the baby, resulting in endless laughter.
In order to quickly shed himself of this difficult situation, Heng constantly overworks the team and deliberately tries to split DIE, forcing Lang and Jing to lead separate teams in solving cases. Initially, both Lang and Jing just perform their duties, but Lang, relying on his psychic abilities, solves case after case, leading his team far ahead in performance... Meanwhile, Jing inadvertently discovers that her baby seems to have inherited some of Lang's abilities, possessing incredible powers that often predict answers to things, helping Jing make correct decisions and repeatedly turning danger into safety. Doubtful yet hesitant to inform Lang, Jing secretly uses her baby's abilities to assist in investigations, impressing everyone. However, Lang eventually finds out and strongly disapproves, fearing it may negatively affect the baby's growth. Tensions rise between Lang and Jing. At this time, Lang encounters his first love, Wen Chuchu, and works hard to help clear her name in a murder case, making Jing extremely jealous and leading to a cold war between the couple... Unexpectedly, Xiao Yi reappears, but this Xiao Yi is not the real one... Whether it's due to Lang's subconscious thoughts, he dreams of meeting Xiao Yi, who warns him of an unresolved life-and-death destiny between him and Jing. Although Jing giving birth temporarily averted disaster, as the baby grows, misfortune will return, and Jing will face mortal danger once again. Just as Lang is half-believing this, the major villain from the previous series, Zhen Xiangrong, reappears before Lang and Jing... It turns out that this person is actually Zhen Xiangrong's twin brother, Zhen Xianghua, who has been secretly hospitalized in a foreign mental institution due to mental issues and has returned to execute his revenge plan...
As for Qing, seeing Lang and Jing get married and continue the family line, she feels it's time to pursue her own ideals and studies abroad alone. Yi doesn't think much of it at first, waiting patiently for Qing to return after completing her studies and marry. However, their relationship is unknowingly in crisis... Since Qing left Hong Kong, the business of Yiexianqian has relied solely on Mei and Pei's hard work. When Pei encounters difficulties at work, she seeks help from Yi, who, feeling responsible as a partial owner of Yiexianqian, repeatedly helps despite personal sacrifices. Through this, Pei comes to appreciate Yi's kindness, positivity, and optimism, becoming good friends. Over time, Qing living abroad experiences a change in life goals and privately confides in Lang and Jing, hoping they will persuade Yi not to wait for her any longer... This information is accidentally discovered by Pei, who feels it's unfair for Yi and can't bear to see him continue preparing for an impossible wedding. Thus, Pei teaches Yi various romantic methods to express his feelings to Qing abroad, hoping Yi can save this valuable relationship...
