Full Plot Introduction of King Wang's Bride Robbery:
A miscommunication regarding Wang Shang's marriage proposal forces Xiuying, under hurried arrangements by her elder brother, to marry a scholar she has never met. However, upon realizing the miscommunication during the wedding ceremony, Tiger, who despises literati, immediately halts the marriage! Poor scholar Zhou Wenbin proposes to rich man's daughter Wang Xiuying, but is rejected by Wang Xiuying's mother, Lady Wang. Wang Xiuying's brother, Wang Tianbao, nicknamed "King Tiger," uses his wealthy family's power to abduct beautiful women everywhere. On the Lantern Festival night, Zhou Wenbin gambles with his friend Zhu Zhishan, saying that if he dresses up as a woman to watch the lanterns and no one recognizes him, he wins. As a result, the woman dressed Zhou Wenbin is abducted by King Tiger. Unwilling to "get married" that night, Zhou Wenbin is placed in the younger sister's room by King Tiger. Unexpectedly, this results in his marriage to Wang Xiuying; the next day, Zhu Zhishan comes looking for him, leaving Lady Wang no choice but to allow her daughter to marry Zhou Wenbin.
The reckless and unwise King Tiger (Money Kar-lok) can't bear the constant pressure from his mother Liu Bingdi (Wong Suk-yi) to get married. He mistakenly abducts Zhou Wenbin (Chan Kin-fung), disguised as a woman, back to the mansion as his wife. Impulsively, he places him temporarily in his younger sister Wang Xiuying's (Carmen Ho) bedroom for the night. To preserve his sister's honor, Tiger has no choice but to arrange an engagement between Wenbin and Xiuying, while imposing harsh rules to humiliate Wenbin. The intelligent Wenbin, seeking to escape his predicament, devises a plan to use the female knight-errant Wu Sanshan (Su Yuk-hwa) to counterbalance Tiger. Misleading Sanshan into believing Tiger is her long-thought-of savior, Wenbin sets up another abduction where Tiger abducts Sanshan back to the mansion. After their marriage, Sanshan, determined to reform this wicked tiger, stages daily taming scenes at the Wang residence, nearly driving the explosive-tempered Tiger insane. Having successfully escaped Tiger's clutches, Wenbin should be carefree, yet his arrogance leads to a series of conflicts...
