Behind the Scenes:
The popular 80s classic cartoon 'G.I. Joe' is finally following in the footsteps of 'Transformers' to hit the big screen. At the helm is Stephen Sommers, director of the first two 'Mummy' films and 'Van Helsing'. The story begins with the rise of the evil terrorist organization Cobra, which seeks to rule the Earth. The elite members of the G.I. Joe team will strive to prevent the situation from worsening and maintain world peace... Upon reflection, this isn't particularly unique given that terrorism-themed movies have become a new Hollywood trend - hopefully, the special effects will be impressive.
The biggest difference between 'G.I. Joe' and 'Transformers' is that while both feature the currently popular "ensemble" casts, the latter can be achieved through models and computers; as long as money is spent, success is almost guaranteed. Conversely, for 'G.I. Joe', each hero or villain requires an actor matching the character design. Not only must original fans' dissatisfaction, actor fans' criticisms, actors' performances and salaries, and scheduling and interpersonal relationships between actors be managed... it truly is a case of "struggle against others brings endless joy". Based on the current situation, Tatum as Duke and Miller as Baroness have largely been accepted by the public, but the casting choices for Quaid and Gordon-Levitt have been harshly criticized as "wrong casting". Can it replicate the success of 'Casino Royale', which defied widespread skepticism to create a star? Or will it end up in chaos, leaving nothing but a barren white land? We look forward to 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' using its quality to break through the gloom and head towards glory.
