Plot Introduction:

"Queen Seondeok" tells the story of Princess Doman (played by Lee Yo Won), who was abandoned as a child due to an ominous prophecy. Through relentless effort and navigating power struggles within the palace, she grows up to become Silla's first queen - Queen Seondeok.

Under the control of Misil (played by Ko Hyun Jung) who wields great power in the palace, King Jinpyeong and Lady Maya give birth to twin daughters. However, for the king, the birth of twins is considered extremely inauspicious, carrying the omen of "the end of male royal lineage." Out of necessity, King Jinpyeong orders the second daughter Doman to be sent away, but Misil sends her people to secretly pursue and assassinate her. At the brink of death, Doman is cleverly saved by the legendary Hwarang figure Moon Nu, who then hands her over to Jiso-hwa, one of King Jinpyeong's maids, to raise.
