Synopsis:

Wang's mother asks Shengtian to accompany Su Ling to plead with Mao Xiong. Shengtian agrees, and they both go together to beg Mao Xiong for help. Mao Xiong remains aloof and unaffected by their pleas, even mocking them by saying, "Why isn't the child's real father here to show concern?" Su Ling tells Mao Xiong that if he saves Tingting, she will have Da Zhong come and plead with him.
