Plot introduction:

Because of their father Roy's (Dylan McDermott) unemployment, the Solomon family is forced to leave the bustling big city of Chicago and move to the quiet state of North Dakota. They plan to start a new life on a newly purchased, run-down sunflower farm. Although the blooming sunflowers are beautiful, since the day they moved in, the youngest son Ben (Evan Turner), only three years old, has been staring at the crows circling in the sky, with an unclear expression on his face as if he could see something different.

The 16-year-old daughter Jesse (Kristen Stewart) soon also senses something strange - shadowy figures on the windowsill while sleeping at night, slow footsteps from the ceiling, swaying stair railings, disheveled furniture, and even accompanied by continuous terrifying vibrations! Are the ghostly illusions perceived by the two children just wild imaginations or do they really exist? At least in the eyes of adults, these two who are always making a fuss are simply lying to get attention!

As Jesse increasingly feels the presence, she begins to lose focus, constantly feeling that she is being haunted by evil spirits.
