The knight Zhu Zhong and his fiancée Liu SiSi passed by an ancient temple where they met the Lamp Grass Monk, who could shrink himself. They got along very well.

That night, Zhu Zhong found a bewitching beauty in a mural in the ancient temple and fell deeply in love with her. He sought advice from the Lamp Grass Monk. Seeing Zhu's sincerity, the Lamp Grass Monk helped him enter the painting.

After entering the painting, Zhu saw Qimeng (the person in the painting) playing with her two sisters Chunjie and Yujie. Zhu and Qimeng fell in love at first sight, but Qimeng often showed signs of unease.

It turned out that this was orchestrated by a demon head who wanted to use Zhu to destroy the guardian spirit of the demon world, Jia Yuan Shen.
