Story Overview:

Moo-Hyuk was abandoned by his biological parents at birth and adopted by an Australian family at the age of two. Due to abuse from his adoptive father, he ran away from home at ten. He met Uncle Bi-Ro, a street performer who raised him like a son. They lived together for five years until Bi-Ro also abandoned him after meeting a shallow woman. It seemed that Moo-Hyuk was destined to be abandoned. To survive, he earned money through many illegitimate means—selling drugs, working as a pimp, and engaging in gang fights. He led a wandering life. Later, he met another girl from Korea, Moon Ji-Young, fell in love with her, and got shot in the head to protect her. Carrying the bullet inside, he returned to Korea and met his biological mother. In Korea, he also met Eun-Che, the woman he would come to love most in his life, and his half-brother Yun. By this time, Yun had become one of Korea's top idols, and Moo-Hyuk discovered that his heartless biological mother was living a comfortable and wealthy life, contrary to what he had imagined. Her cruelty sparked anger in Moo-Hyuk, and he vowed to take revenge on her.

To get revenge on his mother, Moo-Hyuk decided to stay close to his younger brother Yun, becoming the superstar’s manager and meeting Eun-Che. Eun-Che is Yun's assistant, having grown up with him and harboring unspoken feelings for him all along. Despite their open conversations, Yun, being oblivious, only regards Eun-Che as a good friend. Although Eun-Che has repeatedly resolved to confess her feelings to Yun, she cannot bring herself to do so when it comes down to it. When Yun develops feelings for the actress Kang Min-Joo and asks Eun-Che to help create opportunities for them to meet, Eun-Che suppresses her pain and facilitates their relationship. After Yun and Min-Joo start dating, Yun finally realizes Eun-Che's feelings for him. He tells her that he always considered her his best friend, causing Eun-Che to leave heartbroken. However, Yun and Min-Joo's romance doesn't last long. The appearance of Moo-Hyuk stirs deep emotions in Min-Joo, and his rebellious charm captivates her. After much inner turmoil, Min-Joo eventually chooses Moo-Hyuk. But by this point, Moo-Hyuk has unknowingly fallen in love with Eun-Che and is willing to give up his revenge for her. Kang Min-Joo then publicly announces their breakup. Yun's pride is deeply hurt, and in his grief, he drives off a bridge, nearly dying. It is only at this moment, when facing the end of his life, that Yun realizes that the face that comes to mind is Eun-Che's. He then understands that for him, Eun-Che is truly the most important person...
