In some places and departments, some civil servants' uncivilized, impolite and undisciplined behaviors such as snoring in meetings, wearing heavy makeup, chatting on QQ during work hours etc. make people who come to handle affairs very angry, but they feel helpless. In response to these problems, the Guangzhou Municipal Directly-Subordinate Organs Working Committee has organized and published the "Guangzhou Civil Servants Etiquette Handbook". It is divided into five sections: appearance, communication, interpersonal relationships, etiquette and diplomacy. The handbook consists of about 20,000 words and 27 illustrations that standardize and guide government employees in terms of dress code, grooming, communication and reception, interpersonal relationships, official activities, and diplomatic interactions. In the future, government employees should not say "wei" when answering the phone, and should not say... when receiving visitors.
