Largest bikini parade: On November 7, more than 300 South African women paraded along Melrose Gate Avenue for 1690 meters in bikinis, breaking the Guinness World Record while reminding women to be vigilant about breast cancer prevention. (Fig. 1)

Most couples kissing simultaneously: On February 14, 32,000 couples kissed simultaneously in Mexico City's Zócalo Square, breaking the Guinness World Record. (Fig. 3)

Shortest person in the world: On October 15, Nepalese teenager Khagendra Thapa Magar turned 18 years old. With this birthday, he officially became the shortest man in the world (standing only 55.88 cm tall). (Fig. 4)

Tallest person in the world: On September 16, near the Tower Bridge on the banks of the Thames in London, UK, Turkish farmer Sultan Kosen was crowned with the title of "World's Tallest Man" by Guinness World Records (standing 2.46 meters tall). (Fig. 5)

Longest graffiti wall in the world: On November 15, nearly a thousand artists in Santiago, Chile, painted an 1800-meter-long graffiti wall, breaking the Guinness World Record. (Fig. 6)

Fastest bra unbuttoner in the world: The Guinness World Records are never short of strange, even bizarre records, and the bra-unbuttoning contest is probably one of them. This record is to see who can unbutton the most bras within 60 seconds; the current world record is unbuttoning 69 bras in one minute. The judging standard is that the previous bra must be completely unbuttoned before moving on to the next one. (Fig. 7)

Heaviest red bean paste pie in the world: On October 14, Lebanese chefs made a 2056 kg giant red bean paste pie, breaking the Guinness World Record. (Fig. 8)

Most drummers drumming simultaneously: 582 drummers gathered to drum in unison for 5 minutes with perfect harmony as if played by one hand, leaving spectators speechless, and also setting another new Guinness World Record. (Fig. 9)

Largest football jersey in the world: On October 25, Palestinians used traditional embroidery techniques to make the largest football jersey in the world, which was recognized by Guinness World Records. (Fig. 10)

Largest 3D mural in the world: On November 23, German street artist Edgar Mueller displayed his large 3D mural themed around the animated movie "Ice Age 3" at a shopping center in London, UK. Covering an area of 320 square meters, this mural set a new Guinness World Record and provided a delightful visual experience. (Fig. 11)

Most unbelievable bicycle in the world: On March 24, German bicycle maker Didde Senft showed off some bizarre bicycles he created. These bicycles were not only huge in size but also had polygonal wheels. Senft’s masterpiece left people speechless. He could ride happily on a bike with a pentagonal rear wheel. Other shapes like quadrilateral and triangular were no problem either. Senft also previously made a huge guitar-shaped bicycle, a fish-shaped bicycle welded from bicycle bells, and a giant wheel made up of over 100 soccer balls. (Fig. 12)

Longest bus convoy in the world: On August 21, a fleet of 325 Qatari buses broke the Guinness World Record for bus parades. (Fig. 13)

World record for the most people dancing simultaneously: On October 25, the "Thriller Around the World" event was held simultaneously in over 300 cities around the globe, with approximately 20,000 people worldwide dancing Michael Jackson's famous Thriller dance. Fans expressed their mourning for the King of Pop through this event, and also set a new world record for the most people dancing simultaneously. The picture shows fans dancing in Gourin, France. Tallest ice sculpture in the world: On October 27, a giant ice sculpture of the little squirrel from "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" stood in the plaza in Santa Monica, USA. Standing at approximately 48 feet high, it broke the Guinness World Record set by the French in 2006, which was 40.28 feet high, becoming the tallest ice sculpture in the world. (Fig. 15)

Tallest Christmas tree in the world: On December 5, Mexico City in Mexico broke the Guinness World Record for the largest Christmas tree with a tree standing 110.35 meters high, 35 meters in diameter, and weighing 330 tons. (Fig. 16)

Most people dancing in one location: On May 15, 31,800 high school graduates danced simultaneously in Ljubljana's city square in Slovenia, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most people dancing in one location. (Fig. 17)

Most chess opponents played simultaneously: On February 21, Bulgarian chess player Kiril Georgiev played against 360 people simultaneously, breaking the Guinness World Record. (Fig. 18)

Most people participating in a snowball fight: On January 31, a company in Hungary organized people to have a snowball fight in a park in Budapest, hoping to break the Guinness World Record set by Michigan Technological University in 2006 where over 3,700 students participated in a collective snowball fight. (Fig. 19)

Longest sofa in the world: On May 9, Greece showcased a 64.75-meter-long sofa in Thessaloniki, breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest sofa. (Fig. 20)

Biggest rabbit in the world: On July 13, the British giant rabbit "Benny" measured 2.8 feet (approximately 85 cm) in length, currently challenging a new Guinness World Record. (Fig. 21)

Biggest rubber band ball in the world: On October 23, a young man named Joel from Florida, USA, finally completed his work—the world's largest rubber band ball. (Fig. 22)

Smallest dog in the world: In West Dunbartonshire, UK, a newly born Chihuahua dog measures only about 10 cm long and weighs only 85.05 grams (3 ounces). The owner of this Chihuahua believes it has the potential to set a new Guinness World Record. (Fig. 23)

Most people scuba diving simultaneously: On August 16, 2468 Indonesian divers dived into the water simultaneously, creating a new Guinness World Record. (Fig. 24)

Longest pair of pants in the world: On June 14, Mexicans showcased a 60.1-meter-long pair of pants in Almoloya, Mexico State, breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest pants. (Fig. 25)

Most people participating in chalk drawing: On September 20, during the World Car-Free Day, 5317 people participated in chalk drawing simultaneously on a street in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, breaking the previous Guinness World Record. (Fig. 26)

Most people playing golf simultaneously: On September 27, 2016 golfers played golf simultaneously at the National Golf Center in Madrid, Spain, setting a new Guinness World Record. (Fig. 27)
