After escaping from the hellish Sona Prison in Panama, brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows decide to seek justice and take down the Company, the shadowy organization that ruined their lives and murdered Michael's beloved Dr. Sara Tancredi. On their path of vengeance, when Michael discovers that Sara is still alive, the brothers realize that the only way to return to a normal life and achieve complete freedom is to find Sara and utterly destroy the Company.

With the help of government agents, they assemble a new team, including Mahone, Sucre, and Bellick, as well as new members, to accomplish this seemingly impossible mission. Unfortunately for the brothers, they also have to figure out how to recruit T-bag, as he possesses valuable clues that could aid them (likely Whistler's book). Ultimately, they will discover that it is more challenging to infiltrate the enemy's inner circle than it was to escape from prison.
