Anyone can be an agent.

Many years ago, while watching "Mission Impossible," a helicopter delivered a pair of glasses to Tom Cruise who had just climbed a dangerous peak. These glasses would instruct you on what to do, and finally remind you that they would self-destruct in 5 seconds. Sure enough, after 5 seconds, the glasses exploded into pieces. It was pretty cool.

DestructingMessage provides a free service that allows you to send self-destructing messages to someone. Once the recipient opens the message, a countdown timer starts and automatically deletes the message when the timer reaches zero. This ensures that your message is read and cannot be seen by anyone else.

To create a self-destructing message, simply input the time for destruction and the message itself, choose whether to generate it as a link or via email, then press the "Create Message" button. I tried it myself, and actually, the email method just sends a link to the recipient, through which they access the information stored on the website.

We may not have Tom Cruise's high-tech glasses, but we can create self-destructing messages online. If combined with encryption/decryption software, you could feel like a secret agent too. The link below is an example of a self-destructing message; go ahead and click to take a look.
