Spring Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, but what about Korea which I like? How do Koreans spend the Spring Festival?

It turns out that since the Silla era, Koreans have been celebrating the Spring Festival. In South Korea, the Spring Festival is the second biggest traditional festival after the Mid-Autumn Festival. Like in China, it is also called "the beginning of the year" and "first month", etc.

It seems that most customs in South Korea are similar to those in China, and the Spring Festival is no exception. There is also a custom of returning home to visit family during the Spring Festival. South Koreans refer to going home for the New Year as "returning to one's hometown". Before and after the Spring Festival, more than half of South Koreans put on their beautiful Hanbok and drive back to their hometowns, forming a typical Korean festive landscape.
