Streamfile is not a traditional file upload service; it operates on a principle similar to P2P (peer-to-peer). When you upload a file, the other party can start downloading it simultaneously. Streamfile is similar to PipeBytes, which was introduced earlier, but there are differences between them. To be precise, PipeBytes is truly a fully P2P method, whereas Streamfile more closely resembles the P2SP (Peer-to-Peer Streaming Protocol) approach used by Xunlei, because there is still a Streamfile server involved in the process.
