What is Lightbox? The simplest answer is: Start menu -> Close, the effect where the screen dims is called a lightbox. This term should be quite familiar to both designers and bloggers. Ever since Microsoft (at least that's what I think, please don't spread misinformation) introduced this effect, it quickly became popular. Many websites independently chose this format to display images and more. Previously, because there was no such requirement in my projects, I was only aware of this trend but hadn't specifically looked into it.
