--Hope that Furi will continue to set good examples and lead well in the next 10 years
On November 20th, shortly after assuming his post, Mr. Wang Tiankai, President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), Mr. Yang Jun, Deputy Secretary General of CNTAC and Vice President of the China Textile Entrepreneurs Association, Ms. Zhu Beina, President of the China Cotton Textile Association, Mr. Yang Zhaohua, President of the China Home Textiles Association, Mr. Xu Feng, Editor-in-Chief of "Apparel Weekly", Mr. Zhang Chuanxiong, Secretary of CNTAC, and others visited our Group for research, accompanied by Mr. Xia Zhilin, President of the Shandong Provincial Textile Industry Association and Mr. Liu Xinguang, Vice President. Mr. Li Ruiyang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Weifang Economic and Information Commission, Mr. Li Xinwei, Director of the Weifang Textile Industry Office, Mr. Fan Fusheng, Mr. Sang Fuling, and Mr. Jia Qin Qing from Gaomi City, as well as Group leaders Mr. Sun Rigui, Mr. Sun Yong, and Mr. Yan Tang also accompanied the visit.
President Wang and his entourage successively visited Cotton Spinning Plant No. 2, Towel Plant No. 3, Furi Photovoltaic Roof Power Station, and the Group product exhibition hall. Subsequently, they held a discussion in the reception room on the third floor of the Group headquarters. President Wang fully affirmed Furi's consistent scientific development over the years, its steady planning step by step. He stated that the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry ultimately rely on a large number of leading enterprises like Furi. The China National Textile and Apparel Council will continue to pay attention to and support the development of excellent enterprises.
When discussing the situation faced by the industry, President Wang emphasized that there are no signs of improvement in the economies of major economic entities yet. The recovery of Japan, Europe, and the United States, the three major markets, will still take a long time, along with intensified trade frictions and an accelerating trend of Renminbi appreciation, which will bring considerable pressure to foreign trade exports. He pointed out that under the trend of economic integration and globalization, cotton issues have become a bottleneck affecting the development of the industry. The resulting unfair competition has impacted China’s textile enterprises. In the future, the China National Textile and Apparel Council will strengthen communication and exchanges with relevant national departments, closely monitor the trend of cotton prices, study the effects of the country's cotton reserve policies, and strive to find a cotton policy path that neither affects farmers' income nor undermines fair competition, ensuring the healthy growth of China's textile industry.
He indicated that the textile industry has a long industrial chain, and small and medium-sized enterprises face funding difficulties. Over time, this will inevitably affect large enterprises; therefore, it is not merely an issue for small and medium-sized enterprises. He stressed that after 10 years of development since joining the WTO, China's textile industry has now formed a group of very good enterprises. Breaking away from the traditional simple processing model, strengthening brand construction, enhancing the contribution rate of science and technology, and accelerating progress towards the high end of the industrial chain have become industry consensus. He hopes that Furi, as a leading enterprise in the home textiles industry, can continue to set good examples and lead well in the next 10 years, expanding new directions for the entire textile industry's development. The China Textile Industry Association will also continue to do a good job in service, working together to achieve the growth goal of transforming China's textile industry from large to strong.
Mr. Sun, the chairman, introduced the Group's practices in production operations, technological innovation, market and brand operations, structural adjustments, and other aspects, and reported the Group's future development plans to the guests. He stated that during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, the Group will grasp changes in the external environment well, further promote structural adjustments, optimization, and upgrades, enhance core competitiveness, especially focusing on brand construction and market operations. On one hand, relying on a complete technological innovation system, we will accelerate the promotion of brand立体化 (brand stereoscopic promotion) to rapidly increase domestic market sales performance, achieving a transformation from a production-oriented enterprise to a brand-benefit-oriented enterprise. On the other hand, we will continue to strengthen diversified market operations, deepen the strategy of shifting towards advantageous markets, highlight the company's competitive advantages in the international mid-to-high-end market, achieve deeper development in dominant markets, further consolidate and expand the position in the international dominant market, and ensure stable growth in international market sales performance.
The meeting also discussed other issues.
