Xi'an News Network - Xi'an Evening Post (reporter Tao Wang, intern Yuxuan Zhe) reports that after being criticized by his superior, a young man actually called two other colleagues to rob someone in order to vent his anger. Yesterday, the Yanta police have dismantled this gang which has committed six consecutive robberies. The three suspects have been criminally detained.
Cheng is a worker at an electrical company in Minqizhai Village, Yanta District. On November 20, Cheng was criticized by his superior due to work issues. After work that day, Cheng, feeling gloomy, chatted with his colleagues Sun and Zhou. During their conversation, the three decided to go out and find a young male on the street to beat up as a way to vent their anger. At around 10 PM, the three saw a young male walking alone on a secluded path south of Minqizhai Village, so they rushed forward and started beating him without saying a word. When they left, they found no money on the young man, so they took a pack of cigarettes from him.
After succeeding in their first crime, Cheng and the other two thought "robbing is very exciting, especially robbing young men which is more challenging, and also a convenient way to make money." Afterwards, whenever they were criticized by their superior or had unpleasant encounters with other colleagues, they would go out and rob people. Every time they robbed, it was at night, targeting lone young men. They would stop them under the pretext of asking for directions and then start beating and robbing them.
In just over 20 days, Cheng and the other two have violently robbed six times in Minqizhai Village of Yanta District and Xiaoli Village of Weiyang District. During the robberies, the least they got was a pack of cigarettes, and the most was a bicycle.
