Currently, Feng Fan from Pingdingshan City, Henan Province is undergoing examinations at a hospital in Beijing, but a final diagnosis has not yet been made.
Ms. Zhang, Feng's mother, said that a year ago her son began inexplicably often feeling drowsy, and later gradually developed symptoms such as hand tremors, weak legs, and unclear speech.
In the past year, Feng Fan's face, chest, and back have grown many pimples, with central obesity, a coarser voice, thick facial hair, and an unusually irritable temperament, making him unwilling to communicate with others.
Since Feng Fan contracted this strange illness, his mother has been constantly worried.
Currently, Feng Fan has undergone some tests, but the cause of the illness has not yet been confirmed.
A relevant hospital official introduced that the direct reason for Feng Fan's sudden weight gain of 80 pounds in one year was due to a pituitary tumor growing in his brain. The tumor caused the adrenal cortex to secrete too much hormone. "As long as surgery is performed in time, the symptoms will immediately disappear."
