Screenshots of the video. Harbin News Network reporter Zubi Yan reported that at around 7 pm on the 5th, a post on Sina Weibo titled "Female police officer lights cigarette with RMB and flaunts extravagance on Weibo" caught the attention of many netizens. The blogger "Sharing Pictures" revealed photos of a policewoman from "Heilongjiang, Harbin," showing her in a sexy outfit, lighting her cigarette with burning money. Many netizens criticized this behavior fiercely. The public security authorities in Harbin stated that there was no record of the police number on the uniform worn by the woman in the pictures.

The multiple images in the post showed that this young woman sometimes wore a police uniform, other times she wore sexy casual clothes, with black eyeliner, staring straight into the camera lens while taking selfies, which is a popular trend among young people today. In the picture, a hand painted with red nail polish was using a burning banknote to light a cigarette. The slightly old green banknote looked like a 50-yuan RMB.

The blogger "@Breaking News Saving Facts_6th Generation" posted at 19:33 on the 5th, "The policewoman who lights cigarettes with burning money, even though she changed her avatar today, those few pictures haven't been deleted yet, and several Weibo friends have found her Weibo address and took screenshots." After reviewing several pages of her Weibo posts, I found a post dated 12:49 on the 2nd, which said, "A graduate of a prestigious school's aristocratic class (currently working as a police officer) lit her cigarette with burning RMB during a gathering and flaunted her extravagance on Weibo," accompanied by identical pictures of lighting cigarettes with burning money.

Many Harbin netizens left comments expressing their inability to understand the policewoman's act of destroying RMB. Some netizens said, "Don't tarnish the reputation of the police" or "She must be a fake police officer." A netizen named "Xiaolu Dazhi" said, "We need to find out who this 'Meimei' is." Another netizen named "Hello_Jiaxiaoniu" said, "It's correct to rectify such behavior, but it's very confusing." Yet another netizen named "This Guy Is Too Lazy" said, "The blogger is just seeking attention."

Regarding this matter, the reporter consulted with the official Weibo account of the Harbin Public Security Bureau, "Safe Harbin." After comparing the pictures, the staff from the Political Department of the Municipal Public Security Bureau immediately replied that the police number on the uniform worn by the woman in the pictures did not belong to the Harbin public security authorities.

In response to this incident, the reporter interviewed Mr. Meng, the director of the RMB Management Division of the Currency and Gold Management Department at the Harbin Central Branch of the People's Bank of China. He said that RMB is the legal circulating currency in our country, and it is prohibited to damage RMB or obstruct its circulation; anyone who intentionally damages RMB will be warned by the public security authorities and fined less than 10,000 yuan.
