Shangluo Correspondence (Reported by Ji Hui) -- On the evening of January 5, a malicious incident occurred in the Shangluo urban area. Two government officials from the Shangzhou District government got into an argument with a server during bathing at a club and were subsequently beaten by the store's shareholder and the director of a local village, resulting in serious injuries that put their lives in danger. Currently, the two injured individuals are still in critical condition, and the Shangzhou police have issued information online to pursue the murderers with all efforts. On the evening of January 9, a netizen named "Shangzhou Criminal Investigation Team" posted online that at around 10:00 PM on January 5, 2012, Du Moumou and Sun Mou, staff members of the Shangzhou District Government Office, got into an argument with a male service staff member at the rest room on the second floor of a business club located on Jin Yuan Road in Shangzhou District. Yu Chaonian (male, 40 years old, residing at No. 13 Beixin Street, Shangzhou District) and his friend Long Jianliang (male, 38 years old, Director of Yakou Village, Yangyuh River Town, Shangzhou District) rushed to the scene upon hearing the news, and both armed themselves, injuring Du Moumou and Sun Mou before fleeing the scene, among which Du Moumou sustained severe injuries and his life was in peril. At 10:40 PM that day, after receiving an anonymous call reporting the incident, Deputy District Chief and Public Security Bureau Chief Fan Yongsheng took it very seriously and immediately organized more than 40 police forces from the Criminal Investigation Brigade and Chengguan Police Station to rush to the scene, conducting on-site investigation and evidence collection, while simultaneously launching a comprehensive manhunt for Long Jianliang and Yu Chaonian. Currently, the case is under further investigation, and we hope that the vast number of netizens and informants will actively provide information regarding the whereabouts of Long Jianliang and Yu Chaonian who are currently on the run. Yesterday, I confirmed from the Shangzhou District Government that everything stated in the post is true; indeed, two officials were assaulted at a club on Jinqian Road and are currently being treated at the Shangluo Central Hospital. A staff member told reporters, "After the incident involving the injured Du Mou and Sun Mou, the leadership of the Shangzhou District Government gave high attention to the matter and convened a standing government meeting to issue a notice throughout the district regarding this matter!" According to the hospital, both individuals suffered from brain injuries and are still in a coma, with one person still in critical condition.
