"Big! Really big!" In recent days, on the square of Impression City in Suzhou Industrial Park, quite a number of citizens have gathered to admire something. This "big" focus is a huge red lantern from Impression City which is about to create a Guinness World Record for the "largest lantern". Currently, an overview of the truss structure shows that this lantern is under intense construction and is expected to be revealed to the citizens of Suzhou on February 5th. The main body is 8.8 meters high and 11 meters in diameter, with tassels reaching 1.5 meters long. The height of this lantern at Impressions City in Suzhou exceeds 10 meters. This giant lantern adopts the traditional Chinese "reunion" shape, appearing endearingly clumsy. The main structure of the lantern is made of steel, weighing 33 tons, equivalent to the weight of four or five African elephants; the red silk used to cover the lantern has an area of 414.7 square meters, as large as a basketball court.
