"Yu" You in Harmony, Neighbors in Harmony - Yuzhou Club Lantern Festival Celebration 2012. The 15th day of the first lunar month is the Lantern Festival, the first major traditional festival after the Spring Festival. While the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival and people's enthusiasm have yet to fade, Yuzhou Club will host a Lantern Festival celebration from 14:00-16:00 on February 5, 2012, at three communities: Yuzhou Overseas Chinese Seaview City, Yuzhou Gulf New City, and Yuzhou Overseas Chinese Golden Coast/Leading Sea Community Courtyard.
According to reports, this Yuzhou Lantern Festival celebration is organized by Yuzhou Real Estate's Yuzhou Club, with the cooperation of Overseas Chinese Town Property Management in Xiamen. The activities include "Harmonious Neighbors Joyful Competition", "Family Reunion Making Yuanxiao", "Cheerful Guessing of Lantern Riddles", and "Prosperous Welcoming of the New Year". During these events, there will be an abundance of exquisite gifts available.
1. Harmonious Neighbors Joyful Competition
Events: Jump rope, kick shuttlecock
Rules: Families or neighbors form units to participate in the joyful competition. Each family that passes a competition receives a Yuzhou Club Joy Stamp. Different numbers of stamps can be exchanged for different exquisite gifts. In the "jump rope" and "kick shuttlecock" games, completing 10 consecutive jumps/kicks earns one Yuzhou Club Joy Stamp, with an additional stamp awarded for every extra five completed.
2. Family Reunion Making Yuanxiao
Inviting master chefs from the "China Time-honored Brand" Huang Zehe Store to teach Yuzhou Club members how to make handmade glutinous rice balls in communities such as Yuzhou Overseas Chinese Seaview City. This activity symbolizes family reunion during the festive season.
3. Cheerful Guessing of Lantern Riddles
While owners are boiling their yuanxiao, they can guess lantern riddles hung in advance in the red lantern area. For each riddle guessed correctly, one Yuzhou Club Joy Stamp is awarded.
4. Prosperous Welcoming of the New Year
Participants can hang their New Year wishes on the wishing tree and exchange their Yuzhou Club Joy Stamps obtained during the event for New Year gifts. All participating families receive a bag of yuanxiao.
