"Now the school only assigns us two rooms to live in, and no one takes care of our meals. When we approached the school, they said that our sign-holding at the gate was considered trouble-making, and they didn't want to deal with us. Now we have no choice but to boil water for instant noodles. We are all from the countryside, without any relatives in Zhengzhou, and we really don't know what to do," Mr. Xie said. He added that regardless of how it's viewed, the children were sent to the school for education. Due to the school's governance responsibilities, the child met harm, so the school should give the parents a fair explanation.

A middle-aged woman holding a photo said that she was the aunt of the killed child, originally from Taikang County in Zhoukou. "The child's name is Li Yinjie, only 20 years old, studying automotive inspection at Zhengzhou Transportation College. On the afternoon of February 21st, I received a call from the school saying the child had an accident. By 8:30 pm, I rushed to Zhengzhou Transportation College. The child had already been taken to the Second People's Hospital of Zhengzhou, but he was already gone. Up until now, the school has not given the family any explanation."

At the school gate, Mr. Xie, who claimed to be the uncle of the deceased Li Yinjie, said that after hearing the news of his son's death, his brother-in-law Li Jizhong was in a daze every day. The school only arranged for the family to stand under the apartment building where Li Yinjie was killed, allowing them to look toward the sixth-floor dormitory where the incident happened, remaining silent on relevant details.

"I can't remember the name of the student who stabbed him, but he and the victim were from the same hometown, both from Taikang County in Zhoukou," Teacher Zhang said. Because the leadership wasn't present, he could only introduce the general situation. If one wanted to interview students from the same dormitory as the victim, without leadership permission, he couldn't arrange it or allow access.

On the afternoon of February 25th, at the gate of Zhengzhou Transportation College, there were four or five locals holding signs that read "Return my son" along with an enlarged photo, demonstrating in front of the school gate demanding an explanation.

According to reports from Zhongyuan Network (journalist Xiong Yanqiu), on the afternoon of February 25th, Zhongyuan Network confirmed from Zhengzhou Transportation College that a conflict arose among students of the class of 2010 during a card game on February 21st, resulting in one student stabbing another to death with a pencil sharpener knife in the dormitory. Currently, the public security authorities are investigating this matter. The family of the deceased sought answers from the school but gained nothing. Bystanders discussed the matter, saying, "What’s wrong with today's university students? They kill over trivial matters?"

In the Publicity Department of Zhengzhou Transportation College, a teacher surnamed Zhang said that the murder of Li Yinjie did indeed occur. According to his understanding, the incident took place on the afternoon of February 21st. At the time, the victim and his classmates were in the dormitory, before self-study time began. Preliminary information suggests that possibly due to a card game, a conflict arose between the two parties leading to an argument. One male student used a pencil sharpener knife to stab Li Yinjie several times in the chest.

Family members of the deceased held up photos of the child when alive, protesting outside the school gate demanding justice.
