Exhibition Introduction: The Central American International Auto Parts, Raw Material Processing, and Aftermarket Service Trade Show (PAACE Automechanika Mexico) is organized by the Frankfurt Atlanta Company, the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA), the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), and the Mexican INA Trade Organization (Industria Nacional de Autopartes). It is sponsored by 20 well-known domestic and international industry associations, including the Italian International Foreign Trade Association, SERNAUTO Spanish Auto Parts Producers Association, Colombia's ProExport, and Brazil's SINDEPECAS Auto Parts Producers Association. Exhibits are themed around automotive products, including aftermarket and original components, tires, performance parts, modification parts, and related maintenance equipment and tools. In 2011, mainland Chinese companies exhibited a total area of 2043 square meters, with a total of 208 participating enterprises.
Market Introduction: The Mexican Automobile Industry Association recently announced that in August, the sales volume of cars in the Mexican market exceeded 90,000 units, slightly increasing by 0.3% compared to the same month last year, marking the highest single-month sales level so far. In the first eight months of this year, the cumulative sales of cars in Mexico approached 710,000 units, up by 0.6% year-on-year. Cesar Flores, chairman of the Mexican Automobile Industry Association, said that from the current development trend of the market, achieving the predetermined goal of selling 1.2 million vehicles by the end of the year is not an issue. Meanwhile, Mexico’s automobile exports continue to maintain strong growth momentum. Exports reached 136,000 units in August, up by 38.2% year-on-year; the cumulative export for January-August was 1.012 million units, up by 46.8% year-on-year. The situation in automobile production is also optimistic. The production volume for the first eight months of this year was 1.311 million units, up by 34.3% year-on-year. Currently, the best-selling cars in the Mexican market include Nissan Tsuru (41,470 units), Volkswagen Jetta (23,579 units), Ford Fiesta (16,133 units), Chrysler Voyager (8,765 units), Honda Accord (5,371 units), and Ford Mustang (1,761 units).
