In order to replace the bushing, pinion or other worn parts, Great Wall Heavy Industry analyzes the steps for disassembling the drive shaft bracket and drive shaft components as follows:

1. Remove all oil pipes that affect the disassembly of the drive shaft bracket.

2. Remove the pulley on the cone crusher end as described in the section on how to remove the pulley of a cone crusher. This is done to avoid damaging the pulley during the disassembly of the drive shaft bracket.

3. Remove the screws that secure the drive shaft bracket to the frame.

4. Insert the specialized lifting screws provided with the machine into the three threaded holes evenly distributed on the outer flange of the drive shaft bracket.

5. To prevent the drive shaft bracket from binding within the frame, each lifting screw should be turned in gradually one by one. If the fit is too tight, the frame (at the point where it mates with the outer flange of the drive shaft bracket) can be heated so that the temperature of the frame hole is about 55℃ higher than the ambient temperature. This method can assist in the disassembly process.

6. Continue to turn in each screw until the drive shaft bracket separates from the frame.

7. Slip a long tube over the pulley end of the drive shaft to maintain balance of the entire assembly. Then use a crane or other appropriate lifting equipment to remove it.

8. Remove the oil collector.

9. Heat the oil flinger to about 30℃ higher than the ambient temperature.

10. Place a crowbar between the drive shaft bracket and the oil flinger and apply appropriate pressure.

11. Once the oil flinger becomes loose, grab both sides of the oil flinger and quickly pull it off the shaft. The inner bore of the oil flinger is equipped with an O-ring or graphite saturated with sealant to prevent lubricating oil from leaking along the drive shaft. Be sure not to damage the seal during the removal of the oil flinger. If the seal is damaged, it must be replaced before reinstallation.

12. Remove the drive shaft from the drive shaft bracket.
